Bryan Allf, M.D.
Dr. Allf received his Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on Anthropology from Duke University in 1981.
He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Duke Medical School in 1987 and completed his Internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan in 1988, and completed his Residency in Ophthalmology at the Duke University Eye Center in 1991; and since then has provided comprehensive laser, surgical, and medical eye care (in Gastonia since 1996). In 2021 he sold Covenant Eye Care to Triangle Visions Optometry where he focuses on office based adult eye care.
Dr. Allf loves caring for people’s eyes which are the “lamp of the body” per Matthew 6. Born in Texas, he was raised in Cincinnati where he and his wife since 1982, Jeanne, went to high school together. Both have enjoyed caring for many eyes in Gastonia where they raised their four children, the oldest of which, David, followed his parents lead and married his Forestview High School sweetheart, Megan, who is now expecting their 3rd child. Dr. Allf was an All-American track star at Duke where he will always hold the 2 mile record (8:34) since that distance is no longer run J and he came close to qualifying for the 1984 Olympic trials in the 5K. He and Jeanne love the Lord and serve at Gaston Community Church (ARP); and they love visiting their out of town children: Saylor who works for Edify Technologies in Boulder, CO and Bradley who is working on his PhD at N.C. State, and Anna who works as a nurse in Denver, CO where her husband, Justin Frazier, is in P.A. school and where they have had their first child.
