Dr. Rachel Jhala, O.D.
Dr. Rachel Jhala earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from in 2017 and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the in 2021.
She is board certified and licensed to practice optometry in the state of North Carolina. Originally from North Carolina, Dr. Jhala returned home after graduation to provide comprehensive eye care to her community. She joined in 2024, where she focuses on primary eye care for adults and is passionate about helping patients maintain their quality of life through healthy vision.

When did you know that you wanted to be an optometrist
I always knew I wanted to pursue a career in medicine, but I also hoped to incorporate my love for art, color, and detail. The eyes are full of all of these elements, and it’s incredibly rewarding to help people experience the beauty of the world through clear, healthy vision.
Favorite part of being an optometrist
Building long-term relationships with my patients and seeing them year after year as their vision needs evolve.
Favorite vacation
Anywhere with my husband, it's always an adventure when we’re together!
Fun fact
I have pet ducks and chickens at my parents’ home, where I grew up. I love visiting and getting a breath of fresh country air.
